Top Activities to do with Kids on Maui

As a follow up to our Top Free Activities blog, here’s our list of the other must do activities with kids on Maui. These may not be free, but hey, it’s your Maui vacation, you can splurge a little to make your kids smile.
1. Snorkel Charters.
While you can snorkel for free right off Maui, it’s always fun to take a charter boat to the pristine waters off Molokini Crater or Lana’i, that is, if no one in your family gets sea sick. Taking a charter also gives you the best chance at spotting dolphins and during the winter, humpback whales. We recommend taking a smaller charter rather than one of the massive ones, you get more intimate attention and you’re not led around like a herd of cattle.
2. Zip line Tours.
Always a fun choice if you want to get a little adrenaline rush and see some amazing views of Maui. There’s jungle zip lines and some upcountry with views over looking Maui.
3. Haleakala Bike Tours.
If you’re an adventurous bunch, this is an excellent choice. The view up at the summit of Haleakala is incredible and getting to experience it hauling down the mountain on a bike is an unforgettable experience.
4. Surf Lessons.
Surfing is something your kids are going to love experiencing. This wasn’t included in free because we highly recommend booking with experts for surfing on Maui. Instructors know where to position you to catch the most waves, know the water conditions, reef, and how to stay safe out in the water.
5. Parasailing.
If your kids aren’t afraid of heights, this is a must do unforgettable experience. You see incredible views of Lana’i, Moloka’i, and Maui.
Maui has plenty more activities for kids, but if you’re going to just pick a few, these are on the top of our list for guaranteeing the best times on your vacation.
